In the Junior School we follow the English National Curriculum,
but with some modifications and additions, taking into account our
location and international profile. In this overview, it is not possible
to state all that is covered in each year in each subject, but we have
tried to give just a sample of the kind of work that goes on in each
year group, to give an idea of the different levels. |

Science |

Although we follow the English National Curriculum for Science, we use
the Ginn Books for each level to deliver it. The main areas covered are
Life Processes and Living Things, Materials and their Properties, and
Physical Processes. |

For science we work on a 2-year
cycle of topics. Year 1;- Sorting and changing materials, Using electricity,
Light and dark, Pushes and Pulls/Forces and movement; Year 2;- Ourselves/health
and growth, Growing
plants/plants and animals/variation, Sound and hearing |
