Property Purchase Update 18 June 2004 |
|
To: The Hebron School family – worldwide 18th June 2004 From: The Principal, Hebron School, Ooty. Re: Property Purchase Update
Dear All,
Thank you very much to all who have pledged support for this project. We have been very encouraged by the interest shown.
The School Council met a week ago and has decided to keep the project ‘open’. We have not yet reached the full amount needed to buy the “Ebenezer Field” – we are nearing half way – and the Council feels that we will only go ahead with the purchase if the whole amount (around 30 lakh rupees) is pledged. The other piece of land we are particularly interested in the ‘Carrot field’ beside the Sports’ Hall, also costs 30 lakhs.
I would be very grateful if all those who have pledged money would keep this ‘on the table’. Do not send it to school yet unless you wish to. Money received so far will be put aside into ‘property purchase fund’ Anyone who has yet to make a pledge, and feels able to do so, I would ask to consider contacting me as soon as possible.
The next Council Meeting is in early October. I shall update everyone then. Please note that full details, with photographs of the available property are on our website www.hebronooty.org
Thank you for your continuing interest, prayers and support.
Every blessing,
Alastair Reid Principal
