Prayer update - December 2009
To: The Hebron Family – Update
Dear All,
Thank you to all of you who responded to our Landslide Emergency and thank you for your petitioning on behalf of our school.
Praise for:
§ Wonderful ABRSM (Music) exam results and provision of Coral and staff in teaching and assisting.
§ Amy, our new Art I.G., who is doing a great job
§ A great team of I.G.s and supply staff for this term.
§ A successful and enthusiastic debating competition
§ Std. 7s week at Avalanche – safe, enjoyed by all and they learnt a lot.
§ IAYP (Duke of Ed): three successful and safe expeditions.
§ The much enjoyed ‘Hollywood meets Bollywood’ Student Council Event
§ The much enjoyed sporting events: inter school Hockey and Basketball competitions and staff/student matches.
§ For the fun and learning enjoyed at Sunday night activities: studies, Youth Fellowship, 7Up and 6.14ers.
§ Safety and protection throughout term even in heavy monsoon rain
§ Progress in maintenance and facilities improvements – especially our new generator
Petition:
§ Staffing:
We have an urgent need for a Middle School English teacher to start in February
Staff coming: the Grahams and Joan A returning and the I.G.s coming new
Ongoing needs for: Computer Administrator, Business Studies and Art teachers and a gas plumber.
Support Staff affected by the landslides and wet weather
Support Staff welfare committee as they seek the wisest way to assist
Council meeting in the final week of school
Orientation and staff retreat at the end of January
Rest and recuperation for staff and safety for those travelling
§ Students:
Responding appropriately and learning from exam results and report comments
To feel (and be) cared for, supported and loved – in dorms, classes and with each other
Junior School performing a Nativity Play 10/12 and 11/12
Std. 13s on the north India trip
Those sitting exams: Std. 11 trials starting 28/1/10
A level trials starting 5/2/10
To have a restful, rich and safe time with their families over the Christmas break.
