It is situated in Ooty, one of India's oldest and finest hill stations.

Welcome to Hebron School

Since joining Hebron in 2023, I have been grateful for the privilege of sharing in the life of this community. We give thanks for God’s faithfulness and for the generations of students, staff and families who have shaped our school since its founding in 1899. As we look ahead, we cherish this inheritance and the responsibility of caring for the young people entrusted to us.

Our hope is that every student will feel known, valued and supported within our international residential community. Growing up brings both joys and challenges, and we seek to walk alongside our students with patience, kindness and understanding. Through thoughtful teaching and attentive pastoral care, we encourage them to enjoy learning, develop their gifts and grow in confidence and character.

Our motto, “Deo Supremo”—“God First”—reflects the Christian faith at the heart of Hebron. It reminds us of our dependence on God and our calling to care for one another. We seek to nurture inquisitive minds and faithful hearts, helping students to live with integrity, show compassion and serve others generously.

Working together with families, we look forward with hope, praying that each student will grow in wisdom and discover how their gifts can enrich the lives of others.

My years at Hebron were some of the happiest years of my life.
At a unique school in the magical setting, 7,000ft high in the Nilgiri Hills in South India,
Hebron is a truly International School with pupils from all over the world and equally
international teachers of the highest quality and commitment.
I literally made friends for life and my class keeps in touch to this day, on a daily basis!
What is more, it was an all rounded education packed with sports and extracurricular activities;
it is at Hebron where I first experienced debating at the age of 14, which stood me in great stead
to commence my journey culminating in my joining the House of Lords three decades later.
