Hebron Staff
Hebron School is home to a diverse multicultural community of around 30 nationalities, with two attractive campuses in the beautiful Nilgiri Hills of south India for accommodation. Hebron employs approximately 65 teachers and 35 administrative personnel. Staff members come from India, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, Kenya, South Africa, South Korea, and Europe. As a boarding school, Hebron's residential care is personalised and aims to create a home away from home.
Leadership Team
Principal – Mr Richard Naylor
Richard joined Hebron in August 2023 as Principal and is also teaching Mathematics this year. He holds an MA in Medieval History from the University of St Andrews and was trained as a teacher in 1991 at the University of Aberdeen, teaching History to A level and Mathematics to GCSE. He first became a Headteacher in 2003, serving in Russia, China and the UK in various international schools. Richard is also a GCSE Mathematics Examiner. Since 2019 Richard has worked part-time in various educational roles mainly supporting students with educational needs, especially post-Covid. His main work from 2020-23 has been in Mission agencies until joining Hebron. Richard also began studying part-time for a Graduate Diploma in Theology and Church Planting in 2022. Richard was called to Hebron earlier this year and is looking forward to serving the whole school community in this very exciting 125th year.

Vice Principal (Administration) – Mr Vinoth Kumar
Vinoth has been with Hebron since 2002 playing multiple roles in school from heading the finance department, to being a dorm parent, a hockey coach, and to be a business studies teacher. He holds a Master's in Commerce and Business and left Hebron in 2008 briefly to follow the field of his professional studies, but was led by the Lord to continue serving at Hebron. He has played a significant role in the student and staff liaison committee and in facilitating Student Council. He along with his team aims to provide a very positive and conducive environment for the students; and ensure effective and efficient administrative support for the entire Hebron community of staff, students, parents, and others.

Vice Principal (Student Welfare) – Mr Bene Medhurst
Mr Medhurst joined Hebron from the UK in July 2020. He is a PE teacher as well as Vice Principal (Student Welfare). With his wife Rachel, he is also a Std12 Dorm Parent. Mr Medhurst came as an IG in 2008 to help the PE department and returned as staff in January 2021. He previously worked in a number of schools in London, UK. Most recently, he spent 5 years working at Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School - teaching PE and working as one of the Heads of A-Levels. "I am married to Rachel and we have 3 boys; Eden (9), Judah (7) and Shiloh (5) and we enjoy music, sport, cooking, eating and spending time with friends and family. I am a keen sportsman and, since hanging up my rugby boots, have spent most time playing football, running and cycling. Our desire is to see young people here at Hebron to grow into the people that God has created them to be, helping them to grow in character as well as in academic achievement."

Vice Principal (Academics) – Mr Sunil Varghese
Mr Varghese joined Hebron School in 2016 assuming the roles of both an A Level and GCSE English Language and Literature Teacher, and a Dorm Parent. His partner in this endeavour is his wife, Rebika, a dedicated nurse. They have a son, Gabriel, who currently studies in Standard 12. Hailing from Nepal, Mr Varghese's formative years were spent in this diverse and vibrant nation. His professional life commenced as a schoolteacher in Pokhara and then to the bustling city of Kathmandu, where he assumed the role of Editor at Ekta Books. He contributed as an Assistant Professor at Apex College in Kathmandu. Having garnered more than a decade's worth of experience as an editor and educator, he underwent a transformative transition, taking a new direction by becoming an integral part of the CloudFactory startup. Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr Varghese is also an accomplished worship musician and composer, having contributed to multiple albums in the Nepali language alongside his collaborative team based in Nepal. Mr Varghese's aspirations extend beyond the professional realm. A deep-seated passion lies in his commitment to enriching lives, particularly those of the youth, through the profound message of Christ's love. He desires to sow seeds of positivity and growth within the lives of those he encounters.
