External Use: Media & Logo – Terms & Conditions

1. Purpose & Scope: These Terms apply to any use in any location, whether offline or online, by individuals, groups, institutions, events or organisations (“External Users”) of media content (photos, videos, audio, images) or the official logo of Hebron School (“the School”) that appear on the School’s website or social-media channels.

2. Ownership & Permission: The School retains, at all times, all rights to its media content and logo. External Users must obtain written permission before using any media content or the School’s logo. Unauthorized use is prohibited and may lead to request of removal of media contents used and/or legal action.

3. Licence Request & Approval: External Users must submit a request form describing- what content or      logo usage is needed, including but not limited to how and where it will be used (medium, territory, duration), any edits, and proposed citation/attribution. The School may approve or deny the request, and /or may impose conditions (e.g., limited duration, territory, citation and attribution). Approved use will be acknowledged in writing with defined terms. The licence may be revoked if terms are broken.

4. Conditions of Approved Use:

• Crediting: Use media with a line such as “© Hebron School – Used with permission.”
• Photographs or footage that feature students of the School may only be used externally if the School has given prior written permission and also, providing that, any required consents (from students or their parents/guardians) are in place. Use without such permission is strictly prohibited.
  • Use only as approved; any change requires further approval.
  • Do not use the media/logo in any way that misrepresents or harms the school or individuals (students, staff) or their reputation.
  • Do not share/ sell or transfer rights to third parties without separate consent.
  • If students appear in images: no full names published without specific consent; respect privacy.
  • Logo-specific rules: no alteration, distortion, combining with other logos/labs to imply endorsement unless authorised; no merchandise use without separate agreement.
• Safeguarding & Privacy:
  • For images featuring students: respect additional protections and only use under supervision with proper consent.
  • Do not publish personal data (names, contact info) of students.
  • If consent is withdrawn by a student /guardian, the user will be informed of such by the School and use must stop immediately.

5. Liability & Indemnity: The External User indemnifies the School and its employees, students and associates against any claims, losses or costs arising from misuse of the content/logo. The School is not liable for direct, indirect or consequential damages from the External User’s use.

6. Termination: The School may revoke permission at any time if terms are breached. Upon termination, the External User must stop using the media/logo and destroy any copies, then confirm compliance in writing. The School may monitor use and audit compliance.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by the laws of India and the State of Tamil Nadu. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts as specified by the School.

8. Amendments: The School may update these Terms at any time; the revised version will be posted on the website. Continued use after such changes implies acceptance of the new terms.
